For the first years of sliced bread, nobody knew about it. You need to spread your ideas
Every product that succeeds has intrigued someone
Arbys spend 85 million dollars to promote a talking oven mitt with the voice of tom Arnold
Remarkable means worth making a remark about
The top selling DVDs each week are top selling because they just came out and are new
Sell to people who are listening and maybe they will tell their friends
You need to find a group of people who are obsessed with your product
Design is free, and people who are successful put design to work for them
The riskiest thing is not taking a risk
Very good is boring, and average.
Very good will not work
Increase sales by being remarkable not advertising
Figure out who cares, and sell to them

Everythings broken

Opportunity lost. Broken
No matter how broken something is, someone will disagree
Not my job-Doing nothing to solve a problem they can see
Selfish Jerks-Tricking or spamming for moving a business or person forward
I'm not a fish- People design things not thinking about the future use for them
I didn't know- People designing things didn't know how to do it better
Broken on purpose- Broken so you notice it

Branding your Business

Volvo will be Chinese owned in the future
In the next 3-5 years many well known brands will be purchased by china
Chinese brands will begin to become popular in Europe and USA
Chinese mindset is swinging from mechanical to emotional, heralding in unprecedented brand growth

Steve Jobs told Disney that make sure when you walk in a Disney store that you can understand the message
If your shelves could talk, what would they say, and how would they say it.
Your merchandise says a lot about your store
Powerful stores own somatic markers; some outstanding aspect stored in your customers brain that is triggered every time they walk into the store
Break with convention and reap the rewards.
Less seems to be more, uncluttered works

Was offered 150,000 for 75% of company
Or 150,000 for 100% of company, and a 4% royalty

Settled on a deal for 150,000 for 35% and a 4% royalty in the company
